Why We Do What We Do?
In healthcare, specifically hospitals and clinics, caregiver scheduling is a cumbersome and time-consuming process. Unit leaders and schedulers spend hours in order to develop a safe and effective schedule that meets the needs of their patients. Considering the complexities of such environments, this task is not easy and a majority of the units end up with multiple open shifts. Being personally exposed to this problem, FleksWork co-founders created a simple, powerful solution. Our passion for Machine Learning and the knowledge of how it is being used to solve other complex problems led us to create a 21st-century solution to manual workforce scheduling by using Learning Algorithms and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Our software enables health systems to safely meet the workforce management needs of their units while freeing up the frontline leaders to spend more time caring for patients and helping their staff.
